Salah seorang Skateboarder yang cukup memberi influence bagi banyak skateboarder di era late 80s - early-90s adalah Ray Barbee. Mulai terkenal di Indonesia karena No-Comply lewat video Public Domain, papannya yang dikeluarkan oleh Powell Peralta sering terlihat dipakai di Skate-Park. Kemudian, Ray Barbee pindah ke "The Firm" dan kemudian ke "Element Skateboards".
